Characters from another campaign?
"Your party has characters from another campaign. Are you sure you wish to enter this mission."
Why is GW telling me this when I enter a mission? Does it matter? EDIT: To clarify: I was using my Proph ele to complete the early Proph missions in HM. I was using heroes. So, since I am a proph character, the heroes must have been triggering the message. According to the dialog box, I got XP and gold for completing the mission/bonus, but I could not confirm that either/both were actually added (didn't check before completion to compare after). Are you doing Vizu Square? There is one mission for people from factions and another for people from outside of factions.

My canthan monk gets that message when I do missions from Prophecies or Nightfall. I don't think it matters, I just click Yes, and everything works fine.

This means one of the following:
1. You are attempting a pre-story mission (eg. Great Northern Wall) with a character from a different campaign (eg. Factions) 2. Someone else in your party is doing the same thing. Hence the warning. The reason it asks is because the bonuses and experience for missions that are "pre-storyline" are not supposed to be awarded to anyone from a different campaign, so if there is someone like that present, they are not given out at all at the end of the mission. |

CyberMesh, I just completed all the missions up to Gates of Kryta on a Tyrian Ranger with a friends Paragon in the group. I received the rewards, she did not.

Strange, that's how it worked when it was first implemented. At any rate, I stand corrected.

it is merely a warning in the lore sense, you get bonuses and mish rewards no matter what and no matter where.

if you complete the mission with bonus (or masters for cantha and elona), you will get points added to protector titles. Prophecies - Anything from Gates of Kryta or before it will not give you rewards (exp) for completion of the mission. Factions - Anything on the starting island will not give you exp or gold for completion of mission. Nightfall - Anything before Consolate Docks willnot give you exp or gold for the completion of the missions. Therefore, if you bring a character from another campaign and do not wish to work on your titles, progress from where you are. Do not go back and get the "old" story. If you are working on titles, do the missions and fully complete them to add points to your protector title. Is there really a need for this many posts in this thread to explain this? |

HM is a completely different format that raises all the missions up to roughly the same standards; the reason to not get rewards from the lower level missions in NM was so that characters from other campaigns couldn't get free rewards for doing easy work (ie, if the character's from another campaign it's going to be a lot higher level than what was intended for the mission.)

CHABEK VILLAGE 1 MIN RUN GUIS WHOS WIT ME? consulate docks is the next mission for those characters who first travel to elona from a foreign campaign. again, common logic fails. easy enemies =/= rewards. Quote:
